Learn awareness- and mindfulness exercises to develop stress resilience, inner clarity and peace. Develop skills for more harmonious and meaningful relationships. Reconnect with your fundamental goals and values.
The first and the last 2 days of this retreat (Saturday & Sunday – Thursday and Friday) you will have the opportunity to relax and find peace through the practice of yoga, meditation and enjoying the nature of Mani, swimming and (optional) healing massage sessions.
This will prepare you for the mid part (Monday through Wednesday). You will be introduced to fundamental mindfulness techniques, based on ancient wisdom traditions and modern neuroscience, to help you relate to the demands of your professional- and personal life.
Developing presence. Breathmeditation. Returning to the immediate moment of experience. Working on stress resilience, inner clarity and peace.
Metacognition. Mindfulness of thinking. Understanding your patterns of thinking more clearly and opening up new pathways of creativity and flexibility.
Mindful communication. Developing more harmonious and meaningful relationships. Reconnecting with your core values and goals.
Neuroscience shows: a regular awareness- and mindfulness practice results in more sustained concentration, opens up creative potential and gives us a greater sense of well-being.
Mindfulness is being more and more recognized as a method to help individuals, organizations and companies face the unexpected in a fluctuating and highly competitive environment.
Mindfulness, to put it simply, is the human capacity to stay completely focused on the present moment and task at hand.
Moreover, it is a novel understanding – backed by science – that mindfulness can be consciously developed and trained by anyone. This kind of training promotes flexible thinking, innovative ideas, stress resilience, emotional intelligence, better communication skills and general well being.

Short Teachers Bio
Bernd Bender is a Zen teacher & priest in Suzuki Roshi’s lineage, and founder of “Akazienzendo“ in Berlin where he teaches meditation and mindfulness
He received his training in one of the most important Zen centers of the U.S., the San Francisco Zen Center, where he lived, studied and taught for 15 years. Bernd regularly teaches at Zen Center Athens.
He studied literature and philosophy in Frankfurt and Berkeley, and in his younger years, he worked as a dancer. Having translated over 20 Buddhist books from English to German, Bernd is comfortable navigating in both languages, across a wide spectrum of classical and modern meditation philosophy.

Vivi Letsou Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Director of NYSY Studios, Co-founder of Zen Rocks, and Avocado Vegetarian Café, Certified Teacher Yoga Alliance 500 hours, Certified Teacher BASIPilates™, Creator of Abhaya Yoga
Vivi is a strong and charismatic Yoga Teacher and Teachers’ Educator. Through her journey of teaching Yoga, practicing Zen, making films in California for 20 years, and then building the vibrant NYSY Academy for Yoga & Pilates and co-founding the well-loved Avocado Vegetarian Café in Athens, she has been able to find a way of Yoga practice that makes us strong in all levels and helps us to triumph even amidst difficult challenges.
Having taught in the traditions of Ashtanga, Anusara, and Vinyasa Yoga, Vivi has created Abhaya Yoga—a style that combines dynamic alignment-based asana, with an empowering philosophy rooted in Tantra and on the Buddhist path of compassion for all beings. With passion and enthusiasm, Vivi shares this incredible Abhaya Yoga journey with friends who are ready.
Zen Rocks is the culmination of Vivi and Eraj’s vision to create an environment that fosters growth, healing, community, and positive life shifts. She invites friends and students to enjoy their stay at Zen Rocks and embark on their unique journey of deep healing and personal transformation.
Sofia was born and raised in Athens. She has a BSc in ‘’Shipping Finance’’ from the University of Piraeus in Greece and an MSc in ‘’International Studies’’ from the University of Aston in the UK. She has worked as a financial advisor in shipping for almost 18 years.
During 2004 she started practicing Hatha yoga and after 10 years of practice, she decided to go deeper into her practice and became a 500 hrs Yoga Alliance Certified teacher. During 2016, she decided to quit her job in shipping and set out on a truth seeking journey both internally and externally. After travelling for several months, she met Vivi and NYSY Studios team and with all her love and passion for yoga, she joined the team! Today, she continues to build up her knowledge around yoga philosophy and practice with Abhaya Yoga principles as a torch! She believes that when you are true to yourself and to others, the universe opens up its doors and offers you it’s amazing gifts!
